A reformed drunkard at the age of 45 became sober and received a
vision giving a message to adhere to their traditional
customs. Papoonon While I lay in
the hospital the thought came that there were thousands of hopeless
alcoholics who might be glad to have what had been so freely given me.
Perhaps I could help some of them. They in turn might work with

A.A.W.S. In 1990 Earl L.,
a Paiute Indian had a vision. Earl saw in the vision Indian Nations coming
together in unity, celebrating sobriety and embracing their culture. He
saw the helping hand of AA as being attractive within Indian Country.
Earl’s vision saw our traditional ways as adding to the warmth and
